Kia Motors entered India in the year 2019 and operates in the country through its subsidiary, Kia India Private Limited. Kia India crossed the milestone of 100,000 vehicle sales in the year 2020, thereby becoming the fastest automobile brand in India to achieve this mark. The company offers 9 models in India under various categories like SUVs, MPVs and EVs. Kia India operates a manufacturing facility at Anantapur in Andhra Pradesh. The brand currently holds around 7% share in the Indian automobile market. Kia’s latest launches in India are Karens Clavis and Clavis EV.
Brand Ambassador of Kia Motors
Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff is the brand ambassador of Kia India. He was announced as the brand ambassador of Kia India in June 2019, ahead of the launch of Kia Seltos in India in August 2019. Shroff was particularly chosen to promote Kia’s debut vehicle in the Indian market, Kia Seltos. The reason behind Shroff’s appointment as brand ambassador was the action-hero image of the actor among the youth.
Tiger Shroff starred in the promotional campaign for Kia Seltos, titled ‘Inspired by the badass in you’. He appeared in multiple platforms like television commercials, social media posts and digital advertisements to promote the stylish appeal and advanced features of Seltos. Shroff also endorses other Kia models like Carens and Sonet.
