OnePlus Technology Company Limited is a Chinese multinational consumer electronics company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It is a subsidiary of BBK Electronics, a Chinese electronics company, alongside Oppo, Realme and Vivo. OnePlus is mainly known for its smartphones models, such as the flagship OnePlus series, mid-range Ace series and budget-friendly Nord series. Till the year 2024, the company had launched 27 flagship models, 8 Ace models and 18 Nord models. Apart from smartphones, OnePlus also manufactures smart televisions, smart watches, earbuds and power banks.
OnePlus entered the Indian market in the year 2014 with the launch of OnePlus One. Currently, OnePlus is among the top smartphone brands in India, with a market share of 29% in the premium smartphone segment. The company offers its flagship OnePlus series and mid-range Nord series of smartphones along with accessories like OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Bud in the Indian market. OnePlus manufactures smartphones and tablets in India, through its collaboration with Bhagwati Products. The company has a network of over 5500 retail stores and 30 exclusive service centres across India.
Brand Ambassador of OnePlus India
Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan was the first ever brand ambassador of OnePlus in India. He was appointed as the brand ambassador in the year 2017 and continued in this role till the year 2019. Bachchan promoted OnePlus smartphones like OnePlus 3T and OnePlus 6.
OnePlus appointed Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife Meera Rajput as its brand ambassadors in October 2021. The celebrity couple was roped in to specifically promote the smart televisions of the brand, such as OnePlus TV U1 S. Shaheed Kapoor and Meera Rajput starred in the brand’s 360-degree promotional campaign involving print, television and social media.
Cricketer Japrit Bumrah was appointed as the brand ambassador of OnePlus in June 2021. He endorses the wearable products of OnePlus, such as OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Band.
