Lenovo is a Chinese multinational technology company headquartered in Hong Kong, Beijing and Morrisville, North Carolina, United States. It designs, manufactures and markets personal computers, tablets, smartphones, laptops, workstations, storage devices, smart televisions, supercomputers, servers and IT management software. Lenovo is the world’s largest vendor of personal computers in terms of unit sales. The company is present in over 180 markets worldwide. Lenovo owns Motorola Mobility, which manufactures smartphones.

Lenovo is among the top three computer brands in India, with a high share in the Indian PC market. The company is also a significant player in the Indian smartphone market through its subsidiary, Motorola Mobility. Lenovo operates its own manufacturing facility in Puducherry for laptops and desktops. Moreover, the company collaborates with Dixon Technologies to manufacture laptops, tablets and Motorola smartphones at Dixon’s production facility in Noida. Lenovo is manufacturing 100% of its Motorola smartphones in India and plans to manufacture all its laptop models in India by 2027. Recent products launched by Lenovo in India include four new Legion gaming laptops and two new models of tablets, namely Lenovo Tab and Lenovo IdeaTab.

Brand Ambassador of Lenovo

Lenovo announced the names of Jasprit Bumrah and Mithilesh Patankar as its brand ambassadors in July 2025. While Jasprit Bumrah is a fast bowling sensation of the Indian cricket team, Mithilesh Patankar is a leading gaming content creator, popularly known as Mythpat. The duo has been specifically roped in for the brand’s latest promotional campaign titled “Damn the Odds”. This campaign focuses on Lenovo’s AI innovations in gaming and productivity. In the latest promotional video, Bumrah is seen using Lenovo’s AI Now to analyse his movements and improve ball delivery.

Bollywood actor Ranbeer Kapoor was the brand ambassador of Lenovo from 2012 to 2014. He endorsed the brand’s tablets, smartphones and PCs through both television and online commercials.
